Attack of the Drones!

US Drone Strike Kills At Least 15 in Kurram
The Obama Administration was reported earlier this week to be planning a dramatic escalation of the number and intensity of the US strikes into Pakistan.
Is Obama copying Nixon’s gameplan with Cambodia? Widen the Afghanistan conflict to include neighboring countries? Gotta love this bizarro world where our supposed peace candidate actually escalates foreign war.

With his call for a wider Afghanistan war, it might also be a purposeful agitation for a gulf of tonkin type incident or even something worse. Since these miseducated moral relativists believe WW2 helped the economy in addition to the new deal, economic hopes could very well be part of it also. To sum up, I have to say my mind is boggling right now to think that this is happening with a country that not only has nuclear weapons, but is also highly unstable. What on earth are they thinking?

I was reluctant to say it earlier, but by ‘even something worse’, I meant that they might be agitating the revenge minded Pashtun people for a second 911 or bigger incident, in order to justify a massive invasion of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Such an invasion would be totally insane but it fits with the economic and domestic and international political thinking of US elites. Also, Bush did a lot of work, both political and technical, to enable the active battlefield use of tactical nuclear weapons, and a new massive war by Obama could end up using them. Tactical nukes are seen as a shortcut way to deal with a lack of troops, numerous tough hard to find enemies and increasingly common underground command bunkers. That would be a huge step towards Orwellian dictatorship enabling perpetual massive war, assuming it doesn’t turn out to be the last war.
