This is a part of a national tea party movement against big government that is gaining momentum each week. We had nine people at our first event, thrown together on short notice. Then, on March 18th, over 500 people attended a tea party organized by Rus Thompson, Ellie Corcoran and Allen Coniglio.
We must keep building the crowds and the enthusiasm on April 18th and build up to a huge rally on July 4th weekend. We will discuss that event on the 18th.
The beauty of this movement is that we act locally, but gain strength from the efforts of our fellow Patriots in other states. And they gain strength from us.
We are no longer alone against the NY political class. It’s a fairer fight now, the American people against the political class. It’s a fight we can and will win.
But the groundwork we laid since 2005 was not wasted. We kept the flame alive and lived to fight another day. That day is today!
At the March 18th tea party, Free NY raised $2050 toward publication of our study, Economics in Five Lessons. A graphic artist is typesetting the booklet for us and Latko Printing (one of us) will print 5000 copies for distribution door to door, first in Eire County, then statewide as donations pour in.
This short study gives the citizenry basic lessons in economics they need to evaluate the dubious promises of the politicians.
Most importantly, on April 18th, you will receive a one page, 12 point plan for direct citizen action against big government. This is a completely new strategy not tried before and which we hope will serve as a model for the national tea party movement.
It is simple, yet potentially lethal to the political class.
Hope to see you there. Admission is free. If you wish to volunteer, let me know.
And bring a Betsy Ross flag or symbol or a sign.
