Which Firms Should we Support?
Written by James Ostrowski on June 6, 2009 – 4:37 pm -The 12 point plan calls on Patriots to:
6. Display the symbol of the restoration of the Republic, the Betsy Ross flag.
7. Patronize businesses that display this flag.
It’s very clear which firms we should boycott but not as clear which firms we should patronize.
Here’s a stab.
First, they should at a minimum not donate funds to the political class.
Second, they should not seek any policy change that benefits their firm or industry at the expense of the general interest.
Third, they should endorse the principles of Jeffersonian republicanism, that is, the principles of the American Revolution, including the primacy of private property rights and the free market that implies.
I admit point three is a bit fuzzy.
Anyway, it’s a start.

Sounds great. In expansion on point 3 above, I think those firms that demonstrate an understanding of the reliability of a free market for banking and money services, show that they can be relied on even after the crash.
For example, if a business is converting it’s profit in dollars to Gold and storing that safely, than they are demonstrating they won’t be out of business when there bank runs.
Doing that is very significant, because it means for example if you pay a business to produce something for you, you know you won’t be out of your money due to a run on the businesses bank after the crash.
Also if you get used to patronizing such businesses, for example for food or medicine, you will know exactly where you can keep reliably buying the products you need after the crash.

Here are some more ways businesses can more safely save their profits outside of dollar banks, in my opinion:
-keep larger inventories
-Silver
-for a gas station keeping the tank topped off.
-wheat and other grains stored in rented silos
-dehydrated food
-medicine staples if possible and legal to acquire
-guns and ammo

Perhaps we should start with a local outfitter of Betsy Roth clothing in Clarence, NY:

I couldn’t find any BR flags or bumper stickers on their website.
So, where do I score one of the above symbols of freedom?

I just stopped at the flag store on French Rd. They had full-sized BRs for about $35. Being a cheapskate, I bought two tiny ones for six bucks total.
If, when, this thing gets rolling, someone’s gonna get rich.
