With Obama doubling US Armed Forces in Afghanistan, not to mention the sharp increase in “private security contractors,” I’d say it’s now safe to say it’s Obama’s war. Toss in his constant drone attacks on Pakistan and his following of the McCain plan for Iraq and you’ve got yourself a run-of-the-mill warmonger.

Methinks this protest by the right is disingenuous at best (No, really?) and downright lazy at worst. ONE HOUR of protest? Where the f**k have you been during the last almost EIGHT years while Sierra Interfaith Action for Peace (here in Reno, Nevada)has held a vigil (called the Peace Presence) EVERY MONDAY EVENING since October 26, 2001 and the last TWO 1/2 years while the Molly Ivins Pots ‘n’ Pans Brigade has protested EVERY TUESDAY MORNING since February 6, 2007?

I suppose my first antiwar activism was 1972 when I posted a McGovern sign on the house at age 14.
But let’s stick to the point. There is a drastic reduction in antiwar activism since the God Obama took office.
That needs to change before this warmonger continues to kill Asians in three countries and threaten a fourth and bankrupt Americans.
It’s hysterically funny that much of the response to my call for a protest of Obama’s wars by those who protested Bush’s is to attack ME!

You would think people truly committed to peace would welcome any new energy into the antiwar effort. The anger exhibited at JO (who, as he points out, has consistently & vocally been antiwar since the 70’s) illustrates misplaced priorities. We’re stronger together so let’s stop the “I was antiwar first” nitpicking and let’s focus on stopping Obama’s sickening slaughter.
