The topic will be on the neocon infestation of the right and the liberal warmongers behind Obama. (Basically, when it comes to foreign policy, the two parties are identical because they’re both controlled by globalists*.) This is my second broadcast on the Sentinel Radio network. You can call in live at (646) 727-2652 at 7:00 PM eastern time on 5/5/09. We will be webcast live from Sentinel Radio.

I definitely think there’s more “political capital” to this approach than how paleos presently handle Israel issues. You can check out any of our other shows here.

Third episode of the most popular online radio show EVER! I had Dr. Kevin R.C. Gutzman, an American historian and New York Times bestselling author of “The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution,” “Virginia’s American Revolution: From Dominion to Republic,” and “Who Killed the Constitution?: The Fate of American Liberty from World War I to George W. Bush” (Co-authored with Thomas E. Woods), on as a guest and he helped explain what a truly constitutionalist approach to modern day America would look like. You can listen to the show via this nifty player or download it from here and check it out at your leisure.

That’s what the authors of PCD are. Call us what you will: libertarians, paleolibertarians, paleoconservatives, constitutionalists, traditional conservatives, individualists, anti-statists, anti-globalists, classical liberals, etc. But, ultimately, we’re entrepreneurs for liberty in the marketplace of ideas. We will use our creative minds to market liberty and freedom in opposition to the mainstream statist opinions of the day. In a time when our nation is descending further and further into the type of tyrannical government* our Founders declared independence from, we will use our words and nonviolent actions to challenge the establishment consensus. It might get worse before it gets better but we won’t quit. And we will win because, eventually, freedom always does.
*And this is not just because of Obama … our descent began a long time ago and Barry, as I like to call him, is just the latest in a long line of figureheads for our power grabbing political class.
PCD would like to welcome its newest author, Glenn Jacobs! Glenn is a talented writer who has his own freedom-loving blog,The Adventures of Citizen X, which is a must-read! He’s also well-versed in austrian economics and is capable of expressing it in easy to understand terms. My wife is a big fan! She’s told me that his open letter to Robert Reich was the best expression of free market economics she’s read. If only our federal administrators were as receptive. On behalf of everyone at PCD, welcome aboard, Glenn!
I’m constantly looking for new ways to broaden the appeal of a “moderate constitutionalist” approach to politics. This approach, I believe, can unite a broad spectrum of voters which are usually at odds with one another. A recent inductee to the coalition is Pro-Israel Zionists/Evangelicals. How can this be? Unity in the desire to end all unconstitutional foreign aid. Including to Israel AND all the Arab States which would actually be beneficial to both Israel and America. Read the words of pro-Israel classical liberal Illana Mercer:
[F]oreign aid, like welfare, exacerbates the problems it is supposed to ameliorate. As a government-to-government transfer, foreign aid serves to entrench and grow the bureaucracy and the public sector in general at the expense of the taxpayer and the private productive economy.
An ardent defender of the free market ought to know that American aid, if anything, retards Israel’s progress. Cut Israel loose—it’ll be for the best. In the absence of U.S. loans and cash grants, she would be forced to economize. Capital, including the billions in private donor dollars, will be channeled to its best use and will flow to where it is most productive.
Unlike her neighbors, Israel has what Peter Bauer, author of the seminal Dissent on Development, called “the faculties, attitudes and institutions favorable to material progress.” Without foreign aid, she would gallop toward a freer economy.
I really think this is the way to go in terms of a future political strategy for libertarians, traditional conservatives and even antiwar liberals (who have been kicked to the curb by the hawk Barack). It’s a pretty straight forward way to put aside the most contentious issues by returning them to the states (where the Constitution originally intended) and unite people across the political spectrum under an anti-federalist/anti-globalist banner. Stop policing the globe and indebting future generations by spending ourselves into oblivion. No more of this blind party loyalty nonsense. Seriously, the 2 party hoax is obvious. The political parties should be set up to serve the people, not the other way around. Don’t worship hack politicians just because they have a (D) or (R) after their name. Be on the guy who supposedly represents your values like white on rice. Either you stand for the Constitution or you don’t. Constitutional Coalition, man! That’s my new thang.
